Compensation: $65,000/year + up to $10,000 in bonus opportunities

Join a premier, fast-paced Phoenix manufacturing team as our Lead Graphic Designer & Print Production Manager ($65K base + up to $10K bonus). In this on-site leadership role, you will take full ownership of our wholesale catalog architecture, manage our current customers along with Shopify and Faire digital storefronts, and mentor a small team of 3 graphic designers. The Opportunity

We are looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Lead Graphic Designer & Print Production Manager to take ownership of our customer artwork, marketing collateral, comprehensive multi-page print catalogs and our current account design needs.

From day one, you will be the creative engine driving our visual output. You will guide customers through the proofing process, architect catalog layouts, meticulously organize our digital asset library, and ensure that every file heading to the press is technically flawless.

This is a results-driven role perfect for an ambitious, early to mid-career designer who possesses a professional work ethic and a deep appreciation for typographic discipline. While a standard Monday–Friday schedule forms your baseline, this leadership role requires schedule flexibility to meet critical operational goals and ensure team deliverables are always met.

Core Responsibilities

• Customer Collaboration & Support: Work directly with clients through the proofing and ordering pipeline, translating their concepts into polished, print-ready products.
• Catalog Architecture & Management: Take full ownership of the design, continuous layout updates, pagination, and proofing of our complex, multi-page product catalogs.
• Brand & Marketing Design: Create compelling graphics for new product launches, sales flyers, digital banners, social media campaigns, and packaging labels.
• Pre-Press & Production Mastery: Prepare technically perfect, print-ready files with accurate bleeds, margins, color separations (CMYK/Pantone), and high-resolution output.
• Asset & Data Organization: Build and maintain a radically organized digital asset library of product imagery, iconography, and marketing copy.
• E-Commerce & Wholesale Channel Management: Maintain our Shopify eShop at BetterMagnets.com and our Faire wholesale storefront. Keep product listings, images, descriptions, pricing, variants, and collections accurate and in sync across both channels, launch new products online, and refresh seasonal and promotional content.
• Vendor Coordination: Work closely with commercial print partners to review proofs, manage technical specifications, and guarantee elite quality across all external print runs.

Required Skills & Technical Expertise

• Adobe InDesign (Expert Level): You have a masterful command of Master Pages, Paragraph/Character Styles, multi-page book structures, and managing high-volume linked assets.
• Adobe Creative Suite: Highly proficient in Photoshop (product image cleanup, deep etching, and color correction) and Illustrator (vector graphic creation and logo manipulation).
• Typographic & Grid Discipline: You default to clean, structured layouts, possess the ability to build and manage complex tables, and naturally organize dense information beautifully.
• Bonus Qualification: Experience utilizing Data Merge or other database-publishing automation tools that sync spreadsheets directly to catalog layouts.

Schedule & Benefits

• Schedule: Monday – Friday (No weekends). Note: As an exempt leadership role, occasional extended hours are required depending on business demands and production deadlines.
• Base Salary: $65,000/year
• Bonus Potential: Up to $10,000 in performance-based bonus opportunities.
• Time Off: 1 week of paid vacation.
