Description
This ring exhibits the combination of crystalline sea water and warm sand. The tourmaline is a beautiful crystal clear greenish blue stone and is well complimented by a slightly matte 14k gold simple band.
Tourmalines are the most colourful of all gemstones and come in a wide variety of colours, including multi-colour stones. The name comes from the Sinhalese term ‘turmali’ which was the name given to all coloured crystals on the island of Sri Lanka at that time. The name suggests how difficult it was to differentiate tourmaline from other stones, due to the variety and intensity of colours. This versatile and hardy stone is one of my favourites to work with.
