Nautical Gold Ring

Description

For this ring I created a texture on a thick silver band and  then fused a heavy 24k gold foil with heat (torch) and pressure (burnisher)-Keum-boo

The silver ‘rope’ and watery tanzanite give this ring a nautical feel. Tanzanites are pleochroic, meaning the purple, grey, blue, violet tones within the stone vary depending on the angle it is viewed from. Much like the sea itself.
