Description
Labradorite is a beautiful stone due to its labradorescence, which creates a dazzling optical phenomenon, of a blue green, to deep blue sheen that shimmers in the light. It gets its name from Labrador, Canada, where the stone was discovered. According to local tribal lore, the stone is said to contain the Northern Lights, known as the Aurora Borealis.
This piece has a tribal appeal to it, with the contrasting gold and oxidised silver chain, and when thelight hits this beautiful stone its a real dazzler, much like the Northern Lights.
