Golden Rutile Quartz Ring

Description

This ring utilizes many of my signature techniques, textures created by reticulation and fusing and keumboo (fusing 24k gold foil with heat and pressure) and unique, natural gemstones. The gold of the setting and ring bring out the golden (needle -like) inclusions of rutile.
This stone is often referred to as Venus’s stone, after its fine golden hairs. In ancient times people were drawn to its distinctive characteristics and glistening luster, adding a touch of glamour and sparkle. I was too and wanted to make an ancient looking, but timeless ring.
